Background
Selvin’s Transport was launched in January 2010 and began operating in 2013. We provide long distance bulk transport, logistics, warehousing and related services to a wide range of corporate and private customers. Our areas of specialisation include container handling and the transportation of breakbulk goods.
Our Fleet
Our fleet comprises of flatbed tri-axle trailers and super link trailers which are certified to transport hazardous chemicals. All are equipped with chains, ratchets, tarpaulins and stack poles.
All our vehicles are purchased new and operate with full maintenance contracts with approved vehicle manufacturers. As a
result, all services and repairs are carried out timeously, ensuring that breakdowns are kept to a minimum. We are also affiliated with leading approved service centres throughout South Africa which provide immediate 24 hour response in the event of any en route mechanical breakdowns.
Our vehicles, equipment and goods in transit are fully insured and all trucks are equipped with Tracker satellite monitoring systems and are monitored around the clock. Our insurers log calls on a 24 hour basis and are on hand to attend to any spillages or clean ups required.
Our People
Our highly skilled drivers are meticulously screened and are equipped with cell phones in order to guarantee that they are always in contact. Selvin’s Transport is headed up by Selvin Odayar and Leena Odayar who pride themselves in being available 24/7 should clients require assistance.

Although our main route is the busy N3 corridor between Durban and Gauteng, we also service other centres in provinces such as Limpopo, Mpumalanga, the Eastern Cape, Free State and across the border.
Operating from our own truck yard in Springfield Park, we are close to all major arterial routes. Most importantly, we are registered on the Transnet port booking system, so we are able to take express bookings for any logistics services at the port of Durban.
Safety and security are always top of mind and we are pleased to be able to reassure our customers that we have a good safety record and take a proactive approach to maintenance in order to ensure that our vehicles always meet legislated safety requirements.
